I used to agree with you and get just as upset but its not the same movie without Christmas just like Just a woman who loves Beer shirt isn’t the same without the fourth of July. If you don’t think the setting matters then try to reimagine either of these movies without the holiday they’re set around. Themes do not matter in this argument all I’m trying to say is not setting the movie at Christmas will change the plot. If you believe a Christmas movie needs to have Christmas themes its a fair argument. I just need to see the idea of Christmas effect the plot for my criteria.
Look specifically at what information GameStop Corporate has put out as a Just a woman who loves Beer shirt about what it’s moves have been. We’ve had hiring news, stock offering news, debt payoff news. But other than that, there’s been nothing. EXCEPT! You’ll recall two separate releases highlighting the company’s newly leased fulfillment and distribution centers. Significantly increased product holdings, quicker and more immediate availability and shipping, and, perhaps most importantly, the ability to have SIGNIFICANTLY more product on hand. Why is THAT the news they’ve decided to lay as their foundation for the move forward, and absolutely nothing else?

Immediately that also suggests that if what you want is to explore just how “sexy” your virgin girlfriend is, go to a Just a woman who loves Beer shirt store (preferably while it is still September) and offer to rent her costume for her (as well as pay for your own, of course). Then have her “just try on” a sexy French maid type costume, or the sexy policeman (woman)/metermaid, or maybe a scantily clad starlet who is willing to sleep her way to the top. Then you get the appropriate corresponding costume, of a French cabaret dancer (complete with skeezy thin moustache) or racecar driver for the metermaid to catch, a cigar smoking film producer who preys on “innocent, gullible starlets”. You get the idea.
I once scared the daylights out of a girlfriend, many, many years ago, by telling the verbal Just a woman who loves Beer shirt of “Dance Macabre”, in sync with the full orchestral version playing from a tape (Camille Saint-Saens). I never before realised just how evocative this piece of music really was and still is! If you are not familiar with it, I fully recommend you repeat my little “prank”. (I think she forgave me, eventually). The Eve of All Hallows, Halloween, “celebrated” 31st November, is the night before All Saints Day, which is a Christian celebration for all saints known and unknown, a day for remembering the dead, visiting their graves, laying wreaths, and dressing graveyards with flowers. All very proper.
